I've begun to read the Book of Ezekiel and try to study out some of the Hebrew meanings of words. Chad and I are taking the discipleship course from Arthur Bailey Ministries also. It's a 2 year course, but we're going to try to cut that time in half. So far, the first, 2 sessions have been very meaningful and have caused us to re-evaluate some of the churchianity doctrines like trinitarianism and messianic judaism. To sum it up, we still need to unlearn the lies after being out of the church for over 25 years!!
Time flies! My commitment to keeping this blogger post updated has sadly failed. However, I'm here again at the beginning of 2026 with hopes of sharing a few thoughts each week. My first GEM is a recap of my weekend:
Saturday night was the Showcase for 25 students who take music lessons at the music store where I work. The theme was a tribute to the Beatles, in honor of our store owner who passed away suddenly this past spring. Three instructors and I each announced our students before they came up to play their song. The event went smoothly and no goof-ups. Every performance was met with a rousing applause and whoops and hollers. I was so happy for the students as they stepped off the platform to return to their seats. The students had worked hard to play 50-year-old songs that most of them hadn't even heard! Yet, the Beatles' tunes stand the test of time with melodic and harmonic phrases that can't be beat.
